The S-R7 features a sophisticated multi-composite shell developed using advanced moulding technology and pre-impregnated epoxy resin.
Its carefully engineered combination of carbon fibre, aramid fibre and fibreglass delivers strength, controlled flexibility and effective impact energy management without unnecessary weight.
The carbon fibre layer provides exceptional radial strength while allowing controlled deflection during an impact. Aramid fibre and fibreglass provide additional structural reinforcement and penetration protection.
The smooth, streamlined shell eliminates unnecessary external channels and protrusions that could compromise its structural integrity. Specially designed collarbone cutaways also help reduce the likelihood of the helmet contacting the rider's body during a slide.
Inside the helmet, an advanced EPS liner uses seven individual sections across six different densities. Each section is strategically positioned to provide the appropriate level of impact absorption in different areas of the head.
Additional protection is provided by two strategically positioned sections incorporating Alpinestars' patented PLASMA technology. Located around the collarbone cutaways, these sections offer enhanced shock absorption in a particularly vulnerable area.
The EPS liner is individually sized to complement the helmet's outer shell and features a patented surface coating designed to improve rotational impact protection.
Developed using computer-aided pressure analysis and full-scale wind tunnel testing, the S-R7 is engineered to minimise aerodynamic drag while maintaining excellent stability at high speeds.
Its integrated road spoiler helps reduce turbulence and wind resistance, while additional lateral winglets further improve stability.
The result is a streamlined helmet designed to reduce aerodynamic strain on the rider's neck, particularly during sustained high-speed riding.
The S-R7 features a sophisticated ventilation system with ten strategically positioned ports to maximise airflow throughout the helmet.
Six intake ports draw fresh air into the helmet, including three in the chin guard and three across the top. Four exhaust ports help remove warm air, with two positioned laterally on the chin bar and two at the rear.
An innovative sliding top ventilation mechanism allows the rider to open three additional airflow channels, providing adjustable cooling to suit changing riding conditions.
Alpinestars' patented A-Head Fitment System offers an additional level of personalisation beyond conventional helmet adjustment.
Using a micro-adjustable pad connected to the inner EPS liner, riders can fine-tune both the height and angle at which the helmet sits on their head.
This allows the fit to be adjusted according to individual head shape and riding preference, helping achieve a secure, comfortable and precisely positioned helmet.
The S-R7 is engineered for seamless integration with the Alpinestars A-Connect Communication System, combining advanced connectivity with premium audio technology.
Featuring a second-generation Harman Kardon sound system with powerful 40mm speakers, A-Connect is designed to deliver clear, high-quality audio for music, navigation and rider communication.
Advanced AI-based noise cancellation automatically adapts to the riding environment, helping minimise wind and road noise for clearer voice transmission.
When fitted, the A-Connect system offers Bluetooth and Mesh Intercom functionality, with a communication range of up to 1.2km in open terrain. Group Mesh supports up to 24 riders, while Wave Intercom provides extended group communication capabilities.
A powerful dual-core processor supports simultaneous audio functions, while the lithium-ion battery delivers up to 24 hours of Bluetooth intercom use or 17 hours of Mesh Intercom operation. A full recharge takes approximately 1.5 hours.
The S-R7 also incorporates a dedicated charging point at the rear of the neck section for convenient charging when the communication system is installed. The A-Connect system is designed to be waterproof when correctly mounted to the helmet.

At Gear Change, we use DPD for delivery. DPD will provide you with a 1 hour delivery window, notified by SMS/email, so you don't have to wait in all day. What's more, the service allows you to watch the progress of the delivery on a real-time map, all the way down to a final 15 minute time-slot.
Payments for international orders can only be done via PayPal or bank transfer, any card payments made will be refunded and the order will not be shipped until alternative payment has been made.

We dispatch from our warehouse in the United Kingdom within a day of receiving an order and clearing the payment.

If you have a problem with your order, or are unhappy with your purchase, then we will put the matter right.
You can return any item within 30 days and we will gladly exchange the item or offer a full refund for it. All we ask is that you send the items back unused in their original condition with all the original packaging. If we have made a mistake, we'll also refund any delivery charges incurred when you placed the order.
If you would like to exchange your item to a different size or to something totally different then please call us on 01724 280888 and we can arrange an exchange at a subsidised price of £7 (normally £15) where we pick up the unwanted product and drop off at the same time the replacement item.
If you decide to return an item to us yourself then please send to our address on the bottom of our website. For your protection, where you are returning an item to us, we recommend that you use a recorded or tracked delivery service. Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us unless we delivered the item to you in error, the item is faulty, or if we have recommended a size and product to you on our 'Live Chat' service then we will cover the cost of an exchange if our recommendations are wrong.
